For a Brighter Year!

So the year has passed. A new year has come. At a time when claims and counter-claims are thrown here and there, at a time when hero becomes villain overnight and demons become lily-white angels without as much as a by-your-leave, let us regain our sanity. Let reason reign supreme, and let emotion and rhetoric never hold sway.

Let us hope for a brighter future, a secure nation, and a maithree yugayak. Yes, let us hope for all these things, and not just limit them to those who seem to own copyrights over them. No matter who may hold power, no matter who may wield it, let that power be held in our name.

Let this year be different to the one that passed. And let the years to come be as hopeful and bright as we want them to be.
